    2005

    Tariş becomes the first brand to open a store on Hepsiburada in the category staple foods.

    Hepsijet, which revolutionized the transportation sector in Turkey, is introduced.

    Hepsiburada becomes the first e-commerce brand in Turkey to offer "Instant Shopping Loans."

    The R&D Center is established.

    The Power of Technology for Women Entrepreneurs Program, which aims to encourage women's employment and empowerment in the economy, is introduced.

    A photo search feature is introduced on the Hepsiburada app.

    The "Kargom Burada" delivery point service, now called "Hepsimat", is introduced.

    Hepsiglobal, an e-export venture that made Hepsiburada business partners global players, is introduced.

    The "Power of Technology for Women Entrepreneurs Program" is awarded the Gold Award in the "Best Practice" category by the prestigious British corporate communications magazine, Communicate Magazine.

  • 2020

    As part of the "Retail Solidarity Package" prepared in cooperation with the United Brands Association of Turkey (BMD), Hepsiburada provides marketing, logistics, export, and commercial support to textile retailers.

    With the support of Hepsiburada customers and in coordination with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Governorates, the Ramadan Solidarity Campaign is launched.

    Within the scope of the "We are self-sufficient, Turkey" solidarity campaign, Hepsiburada donates 500,000 surgical masks and 500,000 examination gloves to the Ministry of Health for health personnel.

    Through "HepsiYürekten", an animal food donation campaign is initiated in cooperation with HAÇİKO on October 4, World Animal Day.

    As a part of the Hepsimat project, cooperation is established between Hepsiburada and many brands, as well as over 300 shopkeepers.

    Hepsiburada receives the "Most Technologic Online Shopping Brand" award in the Tech Brand Turkey 2020 Awards.

    Hepsiburada becomes the first and only Turkish company to have an international public offering on NASDAQ.

    The HepsiTürkiye Local Products Program, which aims to enable the delivery of geographically indicated products to customers throughout Turkey, is introduced.

    The AR application "See Beauty on Your Face", which aims to offer a brand new e-shopping experience, is introduced.

    The HepsiFly airline ticket sale service is introduced.

    The HepsiJet service network is expanded to cover all 81 provinces of Turkey.

    Hepsiburada is rewarded as the "E-Commerce Website of the Year" at the "Blue Apple Awards."

    Hepsiburada receives 3 gold awards with its "Easy Return by Appointment" service and "End-to-End Customer Experience Strategy" at the Turkey CX Awards 2021, in addition to the "Overall Winner" award, the grand prize of the ceremony.

    Hepsiburada receives the Gold Stevie award in the Best User Experience category with its "Easy Return by Appointment" service at the International Business Awards.

    Hepsiburada wins First Prize in the category "The Internet Company Young People Want to Work For Most" at the Youth Awards.

    HepsiPay Wallet, Turkey's first CBRT-licensed digital wallet, is introduced.

    Hepsilojistik begins offering storage, addressing, packaging, transportation, invoicing, delivery, and returns services to businesses operating on e-commerce platforms.

    Hepsiburada was rewarded "the Most Reputable Brand of the Year" title in the e-commerce website category at "The ONE Awards Integrated Marketing Awards" in accordance with the results of the "Reputation and Brand Value Performance Measurement".

    At Hepsiburada, we signed the UN Global Compact, the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative and voluntary leadership platform

    The first "E-commerce Center of Excellence" of TÜBİTAK-BİLGEM Institute of Artificial Intelligence, was launched with contributions from Hepsiburada in line with the National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence. Moreover, we collaborated with the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office to raise awareness of geographically indicated products with our "All from Turkey" program, which seeks to connect local entrepreneurs with e-commerce and introduce them to national and international markets.

    According to the results of the "E-Commerce NPS (Net Promoter Score) Research", Hepsiburada is the most recommended e-commerce brand in Turkey.

    Hepsiburada launched the "One Smile is Enough" project, with which thousands of books and toys were distributed to children throughout Turkey.

    Hepsiburada launched its loyalty program, Hepsiburada Premium.

  • 2023

    Hepsipay, Hepsiburada s “shopping buddy!” that enables fast, secure and easy checkout, reached 10 million users.

    Hepsiburada launched the "Trade and Technology Empowerment for the Earthquake Region" program to achieve sustainable welfare in the region struck by the earthquakes on February 6, 2023 and after. The program seeks to create a total sales volume of TRY 10 billion from the region to Türkiye and to the world in two years.

    Hepsiburada established a wholly owned subsidiary in the Netherlands under the trade name Hepsiburada Global B.V.

    Hepsipay announced a five-year agreement with Visa, a world leader in digital payments, for its prepaid cards. With this partnership, Hepsipay cards can now be used worldwide for all purchases.

    Hepsiburada Premium reached 2 million subscribers since its launch.

    According to the results of the "E-Commerce NPS (Net Promoter Score) Research" Hepsiburada is the most recommended e-commerce brand in Turkey for the second consecutive year.

Hanzade Doğan
Founder & Chairwoman

Hanzade Doğan is a serial entrepreneur, an experienced leader of blue-chip companies, a philanthropist committed to social impact and an active voice on global issues. As a pioneer of e-commerce & technology businesses in Turkey, she founded Hepsiburada, the only Turkish company listed on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, and has steered its rapid growth to make it the largest ecommerce platform in Turkey. She is also the Founder and Chairwoman of Nesine, the country s standard-setting and most widely used sports betting platform.

She has vast experience in leading established Turkishcompanies across industries. Doğan serves also as the Chairwoman of Aydın DoğanFoundation where she has established and led the award-winning governmentbacked “Dad Send Me To School” social mobilization movement that aimed toeliminate economic and cultural barriers in young female education acrossTurkey.

She is a founding member and Vice Chairwoman of Global Relations Forum as well as a member of the Brookings Institute Board ofTrustees and an active participant to World Economic Forum. She is a graduate of London School of Economics, has received her MBA from Columbia University where she also serves on the Columbia Business School Board of Overseers.

Ahmet Toksoy
Board Member

Ahmet Toksoy started to work as a Board Member at Hepsiburada as of January 24, 2024.

Before joining Hepsiburada, he took active roles in reputable institutions such as The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Türkiye, Hürriyet Newspaper, Aktif Denetim Certified Public Accountant Company and Doğan Group.

Ahmet Toksoy has a bachelor's degree in Finance from Istanbul University and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Doğan Holding.

Tayfun Bayazıt

Tayfun Bayazıt joined our board of directors in July 2021 as an independent board member. After having received a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering (1980) and an MBA from Columbia University, New York, (Finance and International Business - 1983), Mr. Bayazıt started his banking career at Citibank in 1983.

He subsequently worked in executive positions within Cukurova Group for 13 consecutive years (Yapı Kredi as Senior EVP and Executive Committee Member, Interbank as CEO, Banque de Commerce et de Placements S.A. Switzerland as President and CEO). In 1999, he was appointed as Vice Chairman of Doğan Holding and an Executive Director of Disbank. In 2001 he assumed the CEO position at Disbank. In 2003, he was also appointed Chairman and was requested to remain as CEO of Fortis Turkey and the region in July 2005 after its acquisition. Subsequently, he was elected as Chairman of Fortis in 2006.

Mr. Bayazıt came back to Yapı Kredi in 2007 (at which time Yapı Kredi was owned by a joint venture of the UniCredit and the Koç Group) as CEO and two years later he was elected as Chairman. He served as chairman of all Yapı Kredi subsidiaries including Yapı Kredi Sigorta (property and casualty insurance) and Yapı Kredi Emeklilik (private pension and life) for 4 years. Yapı Kredi was the fourth largest high street bank in Turkey with subsidiaries in Holland, Bahrain and Russia, actively involved in mortgage lending among other individual banking activities with a strong digital focus.

Mr. Bayazıt left this post in August 2011 to set up his own firm “Bayazit Consulting Services.” He was then elected as the Country Chairman for MarshMcLennan Group (Marsh, Mercer and Oliver Wyman exist in Turkey) in September 2012 and serves on the board of directors of MLP Care (healthcare) and Coca Cola Icecek (bottling and distribution) as an independent director. He is also a board member at Aydem Enerji and Boyner companies.

He is a member of TUSIAD (Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen Association) High Advisory Board and takes an active role in other non-governmental organizations such as the World Resources Institute, Corporate Governance Association of Turkey. He is a member of the board of trustees of Bosphorus University and Turkish Education Volunteers Foundation.

Erman Kalkandelen
Deputy Chair

Erman Kalkandelen has served as a member of our board since August 2020. Mr. Kalkandelen currently serves as the CEO and Chairman of Franklin Templeton Turkey. Mr. Kalkandelen previously co-managed the Templeton Emerging Market Small Cap strategy. He is currently heading the private equity practice of Franklin Templeton in Turkey and CEE and focusing mainly on the technology industry. He is a member of the board of directors of Netlog Lojistik, Gözde Girişim and Gozde Tech Ventures, Fibabanka, Şok Marketler, Bleckmann, Penta Teknoloji and Bizim Toptan.

Mr. Kalkandelen holds a Master of Business Administration, with honors, from Sabanci University. During his MBA, he also studied strategic management at the Warrington School of Business Management, Florida University and graduated with honors from the Labor Economics Department of the Political Sciences Faculty, Ankara University.

Tolga Babalı
Board Member

Tolga Babalı has been a member of our board of directors since May 2021. Since 2008 he has held several management roles in Doğan Holding and related companies in the Doğan Group and, since 2017, Mr. Babalı has served as a member of the executive committee of Doğan Holding, with responsibility for financial and operational management. He has also served as board member or chairman of the board of directors of a number of Doğan Group companies.

Prior to joining the Doğan Group, Mr. Babalı worked for the Tax Inspection Board and Revenue Administration at the Ministry of Finance of Turkey from 1998 to 2008.

Mr. Babalı holds a Bachelor s degree in Economics from Gazi University, Ankara, and is certified as a Sworn-in Certified Public Accountant and an Independent Auditor.

Ahmet Ashaboğlu
Independent Board Member

Ahmet Ashaboğlu has been a member of our board of directors since May 2022. Mr. Ashaboğlu began his career as a Research Assistant at MIT in 1994, followed by various positions in capital markets within UBS Warburg, New York (1996-1999). After serving as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, New York (1999-2003), he moved back to Turkey and joined Koç Holding as Finance Group Coordinator in 2003. He was appointed as Group Chief Financial Officer at Koç Holding in 2006 and served in that position until April 2022. Ahmet Ashaboğlu is currently a board member of Mavi, Yapı Kredi Bank, Koç Financial Services, Koç Finansman and Sirena Marine.

Mr. Ashaboğlu holds a BSc degree from Tufts University and a Master of Science degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), both in Mechanical Engineering.

Vuslat Doğan Sabancı
Board Member

Vuslat Doğan Sabancı has been a member of our board of directors since 2020. Ms. Sabancı has over twenty years of experience in publishing and media. From 2004 to 2008, she served as the CEO of Hürriyet Publishing, Turkey s foremost newspaper group, and as publisher from 2008 to 2018, during which time Hürriyet became a widely read and influential newspaper and Turkey s largest digital content company. Prior to joining Hürriyet, Ms. Sabancı worked at The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. Ms. Sabancı founded Hürriyet Emlak, one of Turkey s leading real estate websites in 2016, and has been chairwoman since 2019. Ms. Sabancı sits on the board of a number of companies, including Doğan Group. Ms. Sabancı is a lifetime honorary board member of the International Press Institute (IPI) and serves on the Advisory Board of Columbia University s Global Centers, as well as on the Columbia Global Leadership Council.

Ms. Sabancı is the recipient of a lifetime honorary board member of the International Press Institute and in 2006 received UN Grand Award for outstanding achievement for her social justice campaigns. She is Vice President of the non-for-profit Aydın Doğan Foundation and a founding board member of Turkish Businesswomen Association and the not-for-profit organization Endeavor Turkey.

Ms. Sabancı holds a Bachelor s degree in Economics from Bilkent University and completed her graduate studies in International Media and Communications at Columbia University's SIPA.

Dr. Stefan Gross-Selbeck
Board Member

Dr. Stefan Gross-Selbeck has been a member of our board of directors of since January 2023. He has over twenty years of experience in senior leadership roles, including as a chief executive officer (“CEO”), and has held a number of board memberships. Dr. Gross-Selbeck is a Senior Partner and Managing Director of the Boston Consulting Group. Since April 2018, he has been serving as the Global Managing Partner of BCG Digital Ventures, the corporate venture arm of Boston Consulting Group. He previously served as Managing Partner for their European operations. Prior to joining BCG Digital Ventures in 2014, Dr. Gross-Selbeck served as CEO of New Work SE (formerly known as XING AG), a leading social network for professionals in Europe, between 2009 - 2013. He also had different management roles at eBay, ProSiebenSat1 and Boston Consulting Group GmbH. Dr. Gross-Selbeck is a member of the advisory boards of the German Startup Association and several ventures built by BCG Digital Ventures.

Dr. Gross-Selbeck holds an MBA from INSEAD and has a PhD in law from University of Konstanz, Germany. He studied law and economics at the Universities of Freiburg, Lausanne, Montpellier and Cologne.

Mehmet Erol Çamur
Board Member

Mr. Çamur was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors in October 2023. He previously served as a member of the Board of Directors between 2015 and 2022.

Mr. Çamur worked for the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Türkiye from 1986 to 1995 and held management positions in the private sector for five years before joining the Doğan Group in 2000. As part of the Doğan Group, Mr. Çamur has served within several management roles and been responsible for, among other things, various financial matters. Currently, he is serving as Financial Affairs Coordinator for certain companies within the Doğan Group.

Mr. Çamur holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Ankara University.

Nilhan Onal Gökçetekin

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Nilhan Onal Gökçetekin has been the CEO of Hepsiburada since January 2023

Prior to Hepsiburada, she founded Amazon Shipping Company as well as leaded important categories such as consumer electronics, insurance, apparel and footwear in Amazon Europe. During the ten years preceding her career at Amazon, Onal held important and diverse senior management roles at Procter & Gamble in many categories and geographies, from food and cosmetics to home care products.

Among many recognitions, in 2021, she was also named among top Turkish executives in 'Global Turks par excellence' conducted by Heidrick and Struggles.

Mrs. Onal holds a Master of Business Administration from Boğaziçi University on Marketing and Finance and holds a degree in Political Science and International Relations from Boğaziçi University. She also completed the "Advanced Management Program" at Harvard Business School.

Seçkin Köseoğlu

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

M. Seçkin Köseoğlu joined Hepsiburada as Vice President responsible for Strategic Finance in February 2023. Prior to that, he held leadership roles in finance at pharmaceutical and FMCG companies including AMGEN MEA, AMGEN Turkey, Danone and P&G among others, where he played a key role in driving revenue and profit across diverse international markets covering Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe & Türkiye. He has a track record of turning around underperforming businesses and increasing enterprise value by cost optimization and organizational transformation. Mr. Köseoğlu has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University and holds a Master of Business Administration, with honors, from Koç University.

Ender Özgün

Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)

Ender Özgün has served as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) since July 2021. Prior to Hepsiburada, Mr. Özgün worked in various positions at Vodafone Turkey, most recently as Corporate Sales Director, where his work focused on digital transformation, growth and value management, and segment strategies. He began his business career in 2005 at Procter & Gamble, where he held various managerial roles in the marketing department and focused on brand management, customer understanding, and communications strategy and execution.

He holds an MBA in Brand Management and Marketing Strategies from Bahçeşehir University in Istanbul and degrees in Industrial Engineering and Civil Engineering from Bosphorus University in Istanbul.

Alexey Shevenkov

Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Alexey Shevenkov has joined as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in December 2021. Mr. Shevenkov has significant experience having spent 16 years at Yandex, a leading Russian technology company, most recently as CTO of Yandex.Market, the group s flagship online marketplace. He joined Yandex as a software developer in 2005 and went on to become head of software engineering in 2009, before assuming the role of CTO of Yandex.Market in 2016. He has overseen and participated in the launch of several e-commerce services at Yandex including Yandex.Market, Yandex.Uslugi, Yandex.Delivery, and Beru. Prior to Yandex, Mr. Shevenkov worked at Luxoft as a software developer.

Mr Shevenkov holds a Master s degree from Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

Erkin Aydın

Hepsiburada Financial Services CEO

Erkin Aydın has been serving as Chief Executive Officer of Hepsi Finansal since June 2022. Prior to his role at Hepsiburada, Erkin Aydın worked in various positions at QNB Finansbank A.Ş., the Turkish subsidiary of Qatar National Bank (Q.P.S.C.), including leading value-creation initiatives such as founding new businesses, investments in Fintech, and establishing partnership platforms, while heading the Retail Banking, SME Banking and Payments Systems businesses. He began his career in the U.S.A with Clark Construction Group, and later joined McKinsey & Company, where he worked with various local and global financial institutions in the fields of strategy, marketing, growth, turnaround management, and M&A in Europe and Turkey.

Mr. Aydın graduated from the Bosphorus University in Istanbul with a BS degree in Civil Engineering and received his MBA degree from the University of Michigan Graduate School of Business.

Esra Beyzadeoğlu

Chief Customer Experience and People Officer (CEPO)

Esra Beyzadeoglu has served as Chief People & Culture Officer (CPCO) since January 2021. From 2018 to 2021, Mrs. Beyzadeoglu was COO, IT, Digital Banking, CRM and Operations at Aternatifbank. Mrs. Beyzadeoğlu has held a number of executive and management roles at leading banks and consultancy firms, such as Alternatifbank, Akbank, Accenture, Ziraat Technology and Osmanli Bank, including roles leading the digital transformation projects for such companies.

Mrs. Beyzadeoğlu holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from Sabanci University as well as a Bachelor s degree in Industrial Engineering from Galatasaray University. She also participated in the Leadership Development Program of Koç University.

Hakan Karadoğan is a graduate of the Istanbul Technical University Electrical Engineering Department, with 30 years of global and local experience in production, supply chain management, and logistics, Hakan Karadoğan has held senior positions at global brands such as Areva T&D Turkey, Areva T&D China, Alstom Grid, and GE Grid Solutions. For the past 6 years, he has been serving as the General Manager of Operations for Amazon Turkey. On March 25, 2024, he joined Hepsiburada as the CEO of the Logistics Group.
